Search operations carried out in Poonch after suspicious movement

Srinagar, Mar 10: Search operations have been conducted in various areas of Poonch district after security forces received information about the suspicious movement of some people.

According to sources, there was information about the movement of some suspicious persons in the Mandi area of Poonch two days ago, after which the search operation was conducted.

The anti-militancy operation was carried out today in the Mandi area, sources said. The search operation is being conducted jointly by the Army, Police and CRPF.

On Sunday, a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched by security forces in Poonch district in the areas of Dehra Ki Gali and Chamrer axis, including the dense forest cover of Chamrer. Police officials have confirmed that additional forces have been deployed to strengthen security in the region.
