Search operation to trace girl’s body in Jhelum continues on 2nd day

Sopore, Dec 7: The authorities on Thursday launched a search operation to locate the body of a teenage girl who jumped in the River Jhelum at Jamia Bridge in Sopore on Wednesday afternoon.
An official said that the search operation, which was halted yesterday evening, was resumed Thursday morning by teams of police, men from SDRF along with locals and searches continued for the whole day to trace out the body of a girl from the river.
The 16-year-old girl had jumped into the river Jhelum at Jamia bridge here in Sopore yesterday.
