Search operation launched in 6 villages of Rajouri, Poonch

Rajouri, Jan 5: Searches have been launched in over half a dozen villages of twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch after reports of suspicious movement in the areas.

The searches have been launched by joint teams of forces and were are going on when reports last came in.

Officials said that after reports of suspicious movement in villages of Mendhar sub division of Poonch district, joint teams of forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the areas including Uchaad.

They said that deployment of operational teams of forces has been made in the area.

They added that a similar CASO has been launched by forces in areas of Rajouri district including in Kalakote sub division.
