Ramban, Sep 01: The search operation for the remaining four missing persons out of seven persons who went missing after catastrophic cloudburst on August 26 in Rajgarh in Ramban district continues.

Officials said the teams of Police, SDRF, and NDRF were engaged in the search operation several kilometers away from the downstream Rajgarh Nullah.

Official sources said a cloudburst that struck on August 26 at Kumait, Rajgarh in Ramban district caused flash floods and  damages to residential houses , Government Middle School buildings, watermills and few foot bridges and some parked cars were also washed away in the area.

Seven persons of three different families had swept away the property worth lakhs of rupees.

The rescue teams of SDRF, Police , and local volunteers had recovered three dead bodies while the search for tracing four missing persons is still going on.

A 25 member’s team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), also engaged in search operations since Thursday.

Officials said the search for recovering bodies of four missing persons including two women and two girls in the disaster affected area in Rajgarh is still underway.
