Screen Awards 2025 goes digital-first with YouTube

Srinagar, Aug 22: The Indian Express Group has reimagined Screen Awards 2025 as a digital-first celebration of cinema, streaming globally on YouTube. Known for credibility and cultural legacy, the awards are curated by the Screen Academy, an independent body of filmmakers, artists and cultural voices dedicated to honouring true excellence.

Anant Goenka, Executive Director of the Indian Express Group, said, “Indian cinema deserves a stage that celebrates creativity beyond collections. This award will honour bold voices carrying 1.4 billion dreams.”

The three-month festival will feature Bollywood stars alongside YouTube’s top creators, offering red carpet access, behind-the-scenes stories and creator-led engagement. The partnership reflects India’s shifting entertainment trends, from rising mobile usage to rapid growth in Connected TVs — YouTube’s fastest-growing screen in the country for five years.
