Scores of social, political activists from Pattan join Apni Party

Srinagar, Aug 19: Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh, a prominent political and social activist from the Pattan area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, along with scores of his associates, joined Apni Party today, a press release said.

A special event was organized at the party headquarters in Srinagar to welcome the new members.

Besides Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh, the new entrants included Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Farooq Ahamd, Sameer Ahmad, Bashir Ahmad, Mohammad Yousuf Waza, Mohammad Shafi, Mohammad Akbar, Mohammad Shaban, Mohammad Ramzan, Khizar Mohammad, and others.

The prominent party leaders who were present on the occasion included Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, Chairman of the party's Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC) Mohammad Dilawar Mir, General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir, Provincial Vice President Muzaffar Rizvi, Provincial Coordinator Javaid Ahmad Mir, and others.
