Scientist-sheep breeders interaction programme held in Kulgam
Kulgam, Dec 31: A one-day MSME-sponsored Scientist-Sheep Breeders Interaction and Entrepreneurship awareness programme was organised at KVK-Kulgam on Tuesday.
The event was attended by over 100 leading sheep breeders from the district, who raised various queries related to feeding, breeding, health, deworming, vaccination, and general management practices. These concerns were addressed in detail by the experts present at the programme.
The programme brought together several experts and officers, including Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Reshi, Senior Scientist (Animal Nutrition) from SKUAST-K, Dr Zahoor Ahmed Wani, Senior Scientist (Veterinary Parasitology) from SKUAST-K, Dr Muzamil Abdullah, Scientist (Livestock Production Management), Dr Shahid, Scientist (Animal Breeding), and Dr Adil Ahmed Dar, Sheep Development Officer, Kulgam. The session was chaired by Professor Manzoor Ganai, who facilitated discussions and interactions.
The participants expressed their appreciation for SKUAST-K and the Department of Sheep Husbandry for organising the programme. They acknowledged the event as a valuable platform for gaining knowledge and addressing the challenges faced by sheep breeders in the district.
