Schools remain closed in Rajouri following rainfall, thunderstorm

Rajouri, Oct 3: All government as well as private schools of Rajouri remained closed on Friday amid bad weather conditions.

In compliance with the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri and keeping in view the weather advisory, the government and private schools were closed, said officials of the School Education Department.

The order was issued by the Chief Education Officer, Rajouri, after several areas of the district witnessed heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm and windstorm early this morning.

Authorities said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students.
