School holds annual day function
Srinagar, Oct 30: The annual day celebration, titled “Meeras” was held today at the Tagore Hall Auditorium, as a testament to the vibrant spirit and dedication of the students, staff, and parents of AHS.
The event was graced by Peerzada Farooq Ahmad Shah, a former IAS officer and current MLA, as the Chief Guest. The guests of honor, Mohammad Rafi, former Mission Director, and Dr Khalid, ADDC Srinagar, emphasised the importance of keeping culture, moral values, and language at the core of student development.
The day commenced with a Quranic recitation and a warm welcome from the Director of AHS, setting the tone for captivating student performances. These performances ranged from a climate song promoting environmental awareness to a Ladishah celebrating Kashmiri culture, all highlighting the diverse talents of the students.
The judo highlights exemplified the students’ dedication, while the phonics songs and a skit underscored the school’s commitment to developing confidence, creativity, and empathy.
The event concluded with a certificate distribution and a heartfelt vote of thanks from Vice Principal Arjumand Mushtaq, leaving the audience inspired.
Principal Abida Farooq expressed gratitude to the guests and highlighted the school’s achievements, while Chief Guest Peerzada Farooq Shah praised AHS for its educational accomplishments, marking a memorable conclusion to an extraordinary day.
