SCHEAM India signs MoU with JKDCF

Srinagar, Jan 24: In a significant development, SCHEAM-India Holdings Pvt Ltd has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs 73 crore with the Jammu and Kashmir Dairy Cooperative Federation (JKDCF) and agricultural cooperatives (FPOs).

A statement said that this collaborative initiative aims to catalyze the development of dairy infrastructure and entrepreneurship in the Union Territory of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh while fostering the growth of startups in the dairy cooperative sector.

The MOU, formalised between Vikrant Dogra, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Dairy Cooperative Federation Limited (JKDCF) and UNATI Multistate Cooperative, and Nikhil Gowda Kedambadi of SCHEAM-India, reflects the commitment of both entities to harness the growing market opportunities for startups in the region.

Under its unique programme "Uday – Nayi ummeedon ki shuruaat," SCHEAM India aims to provide a platform for new entrepreneurs to realize their goals through guidance and support. Nikhil Gowda Kedambadi, speaking at the signing ceremony, highlighted the role of the UDAY – Startup conclave recently held in Jammu, which paved the way for this collaboration. He emphasised that the MOU acknowledges the significance of the dairy cooperative sector and the FPO ecosystem that has witnessed substantial growth in JKUT over the last few years.
