SC Colleguim clears Parihar, Azeem’s appointment as HC judges
Srinagar, Apr 16: The Supreme Court Collegium on Wednesday approved the proposal for the appointment of judicial officers, Sanjay Parihar and Shahzad Azeem, as judges of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh.
According to a statement issued by the Apex Court, the collegium in its meeting approved the proposal for the appointment of the two Judicial Officers as Judges of the High Court.
Born on December 19, 1968, in Horna Palmar Kishtwar, Sanjay Parihar commenced his judicial career on December 1, 1997.
Over the years he has held several pivotal positions including Principal District and Sessions Judge in several districts.
He remained Presiding Officer TADA and POTA Court, Anticorruption Court Jammu, MACT Jammu, Special Tribunal, Sales Tax Tribunal and Registrar (Judicial) of the High Court at Jammu wing. He has also served as Registrar in the Supreme Court.
Born in Gohlad Mendhar Poonch, Shahzad Azeem entered the judicial service on August 5, 2011.
He served as Principal District Judge Rajouri.
He also held the post of Director of the J&K Judicial Academy and Registrar inspections besides serving Registrar vigilance.
He has also served as Registrar General of the High Court.
