Leh, July 2: SBICAP Securities, in collaboration with Ennoble Social Innovation Foundation, has launched advanced STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Labs in two key government schools in Leh — Government Higher Secondary School (Boys) and Government Higher Secondary School (Girls). This initiative will benefit over 500 students, giving them hands-on exposure to future-ready technologies.
A statement issued here said that the labs are equipped with AI and machine learning kits, renewable energy modules, robotics, IoT platforms, and DIY electronics, transforming traditional classrooms into innovation hubs. Aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and UN Sustainable Development Goals, the project brings cutting-edge learning tools to one of India’s most remote regions.
Deepak Kumar Lalla, MD & CEO, SBICAP Securities, said the initiative aims to unlock the potential of young minds by providing equal access to innovation. Chirag Bhandari, CEO of Ennoble Foundation, added that this intervention sets a benchmark for future-ready learning in underserved regions.
Students and teachers expressed excitement. “We used to read about circuits. Now, we assemble them,” said Rigzin Dolkar, a Class 11 student. A teacher added, “From chalkboards to coding — it’s a classroom revolution.”
