Rajouri, Jul 27: The holy annual pilgrimage of Shri Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra (SBBAY) is all set to begin on Monday while Rajouri district administration is fully geared up to welcome the first batch of pilgrims.

Extensive preparations have been made by the district administration, security forces, and religious organisations to ensure a peaceful and smooth pilgrimage.

This year also, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal is leading the Yatra with administration taking up steps for organizing logistics, food and water supply, medical aid, and security for the devotees.

Multiple langar (community kitchen) and yatra camps have been established in Rajouri district including Sunderbani, Nowshera, Rajouri where pilgrims will be provided with meals, other facilities and basic medical care.

Meanwhile, the authorities have put in place multi-tier security cover for this pilgrimage.

Police, paramilitary forces, and army personnel have jointly set up surveillance systems, including high-definition CCTV cameras, drone monitoring, and checkpoints along critical points on the route. The aim is to ensure uninterrupted movement and the safety of all devotees.

Deputy Chief Minister J&K Surinder Choudhary also visited Yatra camp at Nowshera to review the arrangements and interacted with the organisers.

"The pilgrimage has a vital importance in Pir Panjal region as it brings the region on national religio-tourism map," he said.
