Sat Sharma, others visit shelling-affected areas in Nowshera
Nowshera, May 19: Jammu & Kashmir BJP senior leadership led by its president Sat Sharma visited the villages Kangri, Seri, Kalsian, Jhanger, Lam and Ghai Charyalla of Nowshera assembly segment to inspect the damages caused by Pakistan’s shelling and interacted with the local people.
Former J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina; party general secretary and MLAs Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, Thakur Randhir Singh, Mohan Lal Bhagat; district president Pritam Sharma; district Prabhari Sanjay Kumar Baru; DDCs Rajinder Sharma and Sangita Sharma, Sukhdev Singh, Vikram Sharma and other senior leaders of the party joined Sat Sharma.
During a public darbar held at Kalsian, the leaders listened to grievances of the affected residents and assured them of full support.
Sat Sharma, while interacting with the media and the locals, said that the civilian areas bore the brunt of the inappropriate military offence by Pakistan. He said that Pakistan, instead of acting on its terror camps, chose to wage a mini-war like situation, but failed to pursue the offence for a long period due to the bravery of Indian soldiers.
During the time of trouble, he lauded the unity shown by the people to support the nation’s cause, irrespective of their faiths or religions. He also lauded the all-party delegation being sent by India to different nations to single out Pakistan on the issue of terrorism.
“BJP has raised the issue of more community and individual bunkers with the Home Ministry and the action has already begun on the issue. The party is also committed to all the development related issues in the area particularly building, upgrading and metaling of the roads,” said Sat Sharma, while assuring the people of time-bound relief and long-term security measures.
Ravinder Raina reiterated the BJP’s commitment to work for the welfare of the people. He said, “For the BJP, the nation is always the first and the party will take all the steps needed to secure its borders from external and internal threats.” He also stressed on the BJP cadre’s commitment to the development of the area.
Manyal praised the local masses for holding their ground during the time of Pakistan’s aggression.
Thakur Randhir Singh said that the BJP family continued to stand with the people in every problem.
Mohan Lal Bhagat said that the inappropriate aggressive behaviour by Pakistan backfired and taught a good lesson.
