Sat Sharma leads BJP campaign in Nagrota
Nagrota, Nov 2: Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Sat Sharma Sunday asserted that the party candidate from Nagrota Devyani Rana was a symbol of women empowerment and new aspirations, in tandem with the Modi government’s vision.
While addressing a series of meetings at Chak Bhalwal and Nagrota in support of BJP candidate Devyani Rana, who is contesting the Nagrota assembly by-election, Sharma said that the by-election was not just about choosing a representative but about choosing the future of the constituency.
Sat Sharma was accompanied by MLA and former minister Surjit Singh Salathia, MLA Surinder Bhagat, and other senior party leaders.
The meetings, organized by the local party cadre, witnessed enthusiastic participation of district Prabhari Ayodhya Gupta; BDC chairman, Brahmjyot Satti; BJP leader Sunil Rakka; Sarpanchs, Panchs and a large number of prominent citizens and political activists, many of whom joined the BJP on the occasion, expressing their faith in the leadership and policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sat Sharma said, “The BJP stands for development, transparency and empowerment of the last person in the queue. Under PM Modi’s leadership, Jammu and Kashmir has entered a new era of peace, progress, and political stability. The people of Nagrota must now ensure that the momentum of development is carried forward by electing Devyani Rana, a young and dynamic candidate who symbolizes women empowerment and new aspirations.”
He further stated that no other party had the courage or vision to match the BJP’s commitment to nation-building.
Surjit Singh Salathia, in his address, said that BJP’s governance model was people-centric and inclusive. “The BJP believes in action, not slogans. Every village in Nagrota has witnessed visible change due to BJP’s policies,” he added.
Surinder Bhagat emphasized that the people of Nagrota trusted the BJP because of its clean politics and pro-development approach.
Ayodhya Gupta urged all booth and mandal workers to strengthen door-to-door contact and ensure a record-breaking victory for Devyani Rana.
