Sarmad Hafeez redesignated as Commissioner Secy, YSS Deptt

Jammu, Jan 12: Senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of erstwhile J&K cadre (now AGMUT), Sarmad Hafeez, following his promotion to the Super Time Scale by MHA, has been redesignated as Commissioner Secretary, J&K Youth Services and Sports Department.

Another IAS officer Mohammad Aijaz, consequent upon his promotion to the Selection Grade by the MHA, has been redesignated as Secretary, Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, J&K.

Redesignation of both the officers will take effect from January 1, 2025 i.e., the date from which they assumed the charge of the post.

“Consequent upon promotion of Sarmad Hafeez, IAS (AGMUT:2009) to the Super Time Scale (Level-14 in the Pay Matrix), vide order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, under endorsement No 14016/24/2024.UTS-1 dated January 1, 2025, the officer is hereby designated as Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Youth Services & Sports Department w.e.f. January 1, 2025 i.e., date from which he assumed the charge of the post,” read an order issued by GAD Commissioner Secretary, M Raju, on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor.

As per another GAD order, consequent upon promotion of Mohammad Aijaz, IAS (AGMUT:2012) to the selection Grade (Level-13 in the Pay Matrix), vide Order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, under endorsement No 14016/24/2024.UTS-1 dated January 1, 2025, the officer has been designated as Secretary to the Government, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj w.e.f., January 1, 2025 i.e., date from which he assumed the charge of the post.
