Sangri Baramulla residents demand macadamisation of road stretch
Baramulla, Oct 17: The residents of Bhat Mohalla Sangri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla town staged protest against the R&B department on Thursday for not macadamising the road stretch of their locality.
The grieved residents on Thursday blocked the road for several hours and demanded immediate macadamisation of the left out road stretch.
The protesting residents said that the department of R&B Baramulla recently started macadamisation of the Sangri Bala road. They said after completing the one km macadamisation, the authorities left the Bhat Mohalla road stretch which is just 500 meters.
“We were optimistic that the 500 metre road stretch of the Bhat mohalla too will be macadamised, but the authorities had left out this road stretch without any reason,” said one of the protesting woman.

While urging the Baramulla district administration to initiate immediately the macadamisation of the left out road stretch, the protesting residents said that ahead of the winter the left out road need to be macadamised so that people have some sigh of relief.
