Salary of 2 officers deducted in Sopore for absence from duty

Sopore, Nov 10 : Authorities in Sopore on Friday ordered the deduction of one day’s salary from two senior officials of the Fisheries Department due to their absence from duty.

An official said  that Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shabir Ahmad Raina issued an order to deduct one day’s salary from the Assistant Director of Fisheries, Ghulam Jeelani, and his senior assistant, Suraya Bano, for being absent from their duties without authorization.

He said the surprise inspection was conducted by the Tehsildar at the Assistant Director’s office in Baramulla headquarters, Sopore,  today.

The officer said that their absence has been taken seriously, and the deducted salary will be credited to the district Red Cross fund in Baramulla.
