Srinagar, Nov 18: Minister for Health and Education, Sakina Masood Itoo and MLA, Farooq Ahmad Shah, carried out an extensive day-long tour of the Gulmarg constituency to review developmental projects, enhance public engagement, and address healthcare concerns.

According to a press release, Itoo inspected the Government Higher Secondary School, Kunzer, where she reviewed the ongoing construction of the auditorium . She assured its timely completion to strengthen educational infrastructure and improve learning outcomes for the students.

The Minister inaugurated the newly completed Composite School Building at Chandilora Tangmarg which has been constructed at a cost of Rs four crores. The state of art building, is expected to transform the academic landscape of the area.

Itoo accompanied by Farooq Ahmad Shah also convened a brief review meeting with district officers from various departments at Tangmarg. The discussions revolved around accelerating developmental initiatives, resolving infrastructural challenges, and addressing local grievances effectively. The meeting was attended by Director School Education, Director Social Welfare and Director Health also.

Immediately after review meeting, the Minister and MLA Gulmarg interacted with the public, attentively listening to their issues and concerns. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to addressing these concerns and driving positive change in the constituency.

In the late afternoon, Farooq Ahmad Shah attended the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Conference on “Hypertension and Co-Morbidities” held at SKIMS Medical College, Bemina, as a special guest.

Addressing the gathering, Shah emphasised the critical need for collective efforts to manage hypertension and mitigate its impact on future generations. His keynote address underscored the importance of a unified, community-driven approach to combat this pressing health issue.
