Sajjad Shaheen demands relief package for Banihal fire victims

Banihal, Feb 7: National Conference (JKNC) leader and district president, Ramban, Mr Sajjad Shaheen has called for urgent attention of the LG lead Administration to the plight of the victims affected by the recent devastating fire at the Banihal vegetable market in which 75 kiosks were completely gutted recently.

Shaheen visited the site of the tragedy to offer support and assess the immediate needs of those impacted, a press release said.

He emphasised the importance of immediate intervention of the Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to alleviate the suffering and sanction a special relief package in favour of the fire victims so that they can rebuild their lives and businesses. Expressing his deep concern for the welfare of the fire victims, Shaheen underscored the importance of swift and comprehensive assistance from both government authorities, Charitable organizations and public. He urged all stakeholders to mobilize resources and extend a helping hand to those grappling with the aftermath of this tragic event.
