Sajjad Shaheen concerned over frequent closure of Sangaldan-Gool road
Banihal, Nov 19 : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leader and district president Ramban, Mir Sajjad Shaheen, has expressed serious concern over the frequent blockade of Sangaldan -Gool road due to continuous land slide and sinking of a portion of road at Chapran, Harog since last many weeks.
During his day long tour to Bajmasta, Sumar , Harog and Sangaldan, Shaheen met various individuals and deputations who apprised him about their day today problems, a press release said. The NC leader while interacting with the locals assured them that their problems will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal.
“Due to the blockade of only road linking entire sub division Gool with rest of the district has badly impacted the mobility and added to the miseries of the people. People are immensely suffering particularly patients, students and traders particularly during rains,” he said.
Shaheen also visited the spot of the landslide and Chapran and brought the matter in notice of the management of BRO the agency that has been assigned the job of maintenance and improvement of the Ramban- Sangaldan -Gool road. The NC leader said that no serious effort is being made to repair the road on a permanent basis. He emphasised upon the administration and the concerned agencies to formulate a comprehensive plan for construction of a permanent bridge at the sinking portion at Chapran as people are facing enormous problems due to frequent closure of the road.
Shaheen also referred to the depilated condition of Digdol-Bajmasta-Sumar road and said that the administration must take up the upgradation and improvement work of the road.
NC leader also o expressed deep concern over the power crisis in peripheral areas particularly Khari, Trigam, Mahu-Mangit, Sarachi, Neel, Tajnihal, Runigam, Dhak, Kharwan, Pogal-Paristan, Kunda, Gool, Sangaldan, Harog, Bajmasta ,Ramsoo, Ukharhal, Chamalwas, Chaknarwa, Hinjhal, Phago, Thachi, Nowgam, Tethar, Hinjhal, Sarbagni, Chaka, Amkoot, Sarachi, Indh, Chachwa, Sumar, Meghdar, Kohli, Deeda . He added that unscheduled power cuts have aggravated woes of people in these villages of Banihal constituency. He said that the unscheduled and frequent power cuts continue unabated and people are facing massive inconvenience due to power cuts.
