Sajjad Shaheen anguished over Krawah fire incident | Demands compensation for the effected families

Banihal; Dec 22: National Conference (NC) leader and party District President Ramban Sajjad Shaheen has expressed grief over the damage to property in a devastating fire incident at Gujjar Basti of village Krawah in Banihal today.

Three houses including a three storey building were completely damaged in the mishap. While expressing sympathies with the fire victims , Shaheen urged the district administration to carry out relief and rehabilitation measures for the victims of the fire incident.

He has also demanded adequate compensation to the fire victims. “There is an immediate need of establishing well-equipped fire service stations across the district. In hilly areas such stations should be opened at block level,” the NC leader said.

Shaheen has demanded setting up of fire service stations at Khari, Mahoo, Ramsoo, Neel, Ukharhal to cater the needs of the people in the area. He also lauded the local villagers, jawans of fire services department for their timely efforts in controlling the fire from further spreading.
