Sajad Lone voices concern over hunger strike by jailed MP Er Rashid
Srinagar, Feb 06: Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) president and MLA Handwara Sajad Lone today voiced concern over the hunger strike of MP Er Rashid inside jail.
Taking to X, Lone wrote, “Irrespective of political differences let us spare a thought for Engineer Rashid sahib who is on a hunger strike”.
He also shed light on the plight of hundreds of Kashmiris imprisoned far from their homes and families.
"Many of them have spent decades in jails, in the most inhospitable and hostile conditions," he stated.
Highlighting the ever-changing nature of politics, Lone remarked, "If yesterday’s hero is today’s villain, today’s villain can be tomorrow’s hero. That is political evolution."
He underscored that the power to shape discourse must rest with the people, not be imposed upon them.
