Sajad Lone seeks adjournment of Assembly business to discuss Article 370 repeal

Srinagar, Nov 5: Peoples Conference President Sajad Gani Lone has given notice for adjournment of business in the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday to discuss scrapping Article 370 and Article 35-A and downgrading Jammu and Kashmir into a Union Territory.

Sources said that Lone had given notice for suspension of the business on Tuesday to discuss constitutional changes effected by the BJP-led central government and its fallout on natives of Jammu and Kashmir and the federal structure.

Lone, who was arrested ahead of the abrogation of Article 370, was at the forefront of the legal battle against the constitutional changes.
