Sajad Lone condemns alleged high-handedness of police officer in Kulgam

Srinagar, March 17: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference President and MLA Handwara Sajad Lone has strongly condemned the incident in Kulgam where a police officer was seen kicking female relatives of two deceased youths.

"Images of a police officer kicking the female relatives of two youths who died in Kulgam is utterly disdainful," Lone said in a statement here.

"The whole action reeks of contempt within the minds of those who are supposed to protect the masses," he added.

Lone said these incidents are not isolated, emphasising that this “is not a rare occurrence” and “it is almost a daily occurrence. It is just that it escapes filming."

He also extended sympathies to the bereaved family members.
"My heartfelt condolences to the families, and I hope against hope that the third youth is found," the statement said.
