Sagar seeks arrangements for Urs of Hazrat Syedna Abu Baqar Siddiq (RA)
Srinagar, Dec 11: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar has called upon the Jammu & Kashmir government to make adequate arrangements for the smooth and successful observance of the annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Syedna Abu Baqar Sidiq (RA) at Asar-e-Sharief Dargah Hazratbal, along with similar arrangements at other prominent shrines across the Kashmir valley.
In a statement, Sagar expressed his concern over the need for proper arrangements for the upcoming religious observances, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the comfort, safety, and security of the devotees who will be attending the Urs Mubarak celebrations.
He urged the government to coordinate with the concerned authorities to ensure that all facilities, including transportation, healthcare, security, and sanitation, are in place for the smooth conduct of these spiritual events.
"The annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Syedna Abu Baqar Sidiq (RA) at Hazratbal is an important occasion for Muslims in the region, and it is vital that every possible arrangement is made to ensure the safety, well-being, and convenience of the thousands of devotees who gather to pay homage to the great saint. Similarly, the other prominent shrines across Kashmir, which draw large numbers of devotees, must also receive the attention and support they deserve from the government,” Sagar said. He also requested that adequate steps be taken to maintain the cleanliness of the shrines and surrounding areas and called for enhanced traffic management measures to avoid congestion, particularly around Hazratbal and other major shrine sites. Furthermore, he stressed the need for increased medical facilities and emergency response teams to be stationed at these locations to provide timely assistance if needed. Sagar urged the authorities to take immediate action in this regard, ensuring that the Urs Mubarak celebrations unfold peacefully and without any disruptions, allowing devotees to partake in the sacred occasion with devotion and respect.
