Sagar chairs review meeting ahead of Muharram

Srinagar, Jun 14: National Confereance (NC) General Secretary and MLA Khanyar, Ali Mohammad Sagar Saturday convened a review meeting with officials from all relevant departments, including the J&K Police to ensure smooth and peaceful observance of forthcoming Muharram-ul-Haram.

According to a press release, the MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar and delegations representing various areas of the Khanyar constituency also participated in the meeting. The meeting focused on comprehensive preparations for the upcoming holy month, with discussions centering around key aspects such as security arrangements, infrastructure readiness, traffic regulation, and uninterrupted civic services.

MLA Sagar stressed the importance of a unified and coordinated approach among all stakeholders to uphold the sanctity and spirit of Muharram- ul- Haram. He called for immediate redressal of public grievances, augmentation of essential services, and heightened security measures to ensure a peaceful environment during the commemorative events.

The meeting reaffirmed his commitment to working in close collaboration with the administration and the public to facilitate a dignified and well-organized observance of Muharram-ul-Haram.
