Sagar calls for comprehensive arrangements for Urs

Srinagar, May 26: National Conference (NC) General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar today called for effective preparations for the annual Urs observances of Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA) and Hazrat Muhammad Amin Mantaqi (RA).

In a statement, he underscored the critical need for collaboration among all relevant departments and the shrine management to ensure a smooth and enriching experience for the thousands of devotees expected to attend. Sagar highlighted that the observance is anticipated to significantly increase foot traffic at the shrines, making it essential for the government to step in and provide seamless facilities for visitors.

He urged the divisional administration, including the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Power Development Department (PDD), and Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), to implement comprehensive arrangements that will effectively accommodate the influx of devotees.
