Safapora murder case: CM Omar visits victims family, assures justice, Govt support
Ganderbal, Jul 22: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Tuesday visited Safapora area in Ganderbal to offer his condolences to the family of the young woman who was allegedly assaulted and murdered and whose tragic death has deeply shaken the community.
He assured the bereaved family that the matter is being thoroughly investigated by Police and justice will be delivered swiftly, transparently, and fairly.
During his visit to Safapora, Omar met with the victim’s family and assured full support in their pursuit of justice.
“The case has been registered and, God willing, justice will be done,” he said.
Omar expressed concern over the condition of the victim’s family, particularly the eldest son, who is suffering from a spinal injury and is unable to walk.
“They have requested government assistance, and we will do everything possible to support their appeal,” he said, offering prayers for their well-being.
Earlier, a young woman from Safapora was allegedly assaulted and murdered by one of her close relatives last week.
Police have already arrested the accused and investigations are underway. SSP Ganderbal has assured a probe and action against the accused involved in the heinous crime.
