Sadhotra reiterates NC’s commitment for statehood restoration

Vijaypur, Nov 18: Former Minister and Additional General Secretary of National Conference (NC) Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the restoration of J&K’s statehood.

According to a press release, he was addressing a convention held  at Vijaypur in District Samba. Sadhotra lauded the visionary leadership of Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister, for spearheading the unanimous Cabinet resolution demanding the restoration of statehood.

He also hailed the subsequent Assembly resolution advocating for the reinstatement of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status. “These resolutions reflect the party’s determination to safeguard the constitutional rights and dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he stated.

Praising Omar Abdullah’s consistent efforts, Sadhotra emphasised that the National Conference has always prioritised the aspirations of the people. “The restoration of statehood is not just a political demand but a step towards restoring the confidence and identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Omar Abdullah’s leadership has been instrumental in keeping this mission alive,” he added.
