Sadhotra flags off Yatra
Jammu, Feb 8: National Conference Additional General Secretary and Former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today flagged off Guru Ravidass Ji Shobha Yatra at Karwanda in Jammu.
According to a press note, he paid tributes to great saint and social reformer on his Jayanti. Sadhotra called for imbibing the spirit of selflessness and righteousness as preached by saints and sages from times immemorial, saying camaraderie and fellow feelings are imperative for the harmonious growth of society.
“Guru Ravidass Ji taught and preached about the importance compassion and equality which remain core of the human dignity,”Sadhotra said. He said the life and teachings of Guruji have inspired the generations and helped in transforming the society, making it conducive for various communities, irrespective of cast, creed and colour.
He said the relevance of the teaching of the great saint and philosopher assume significance now, as never before, since the society at large is confronted with a challenge from elements inimical to amity and brotherhood between various segments of people.
