Sadhotra criticises BJP leader for ‘his political naivety’

Jammu, Mar 24: National Conference Additional General Secretary and former minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today criticized the BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh for his “political naivety and lack of understanding.”

Sadhotra said that Chugh’s rhetoric exposes his little knowledge about sensitive Jammu and Kashmir. According to a press release Sadhotra was addressing Youth National Conference meeting of Block Kot Bhalwal at Nardani in Jammu North Assembly Constituency .

Reacting to the remarks of BJP leader against the National Conference leadership, Sadhotra, said that being forced on the people of Jammu and Kashmir as so-called BJP incharge does not make him expert on the sensitivities of this part of the country, which his ilk tend to be after visiting the state as political adventurers.

NC leader asked a pointed question to the BJP leader as to what and how much he knows about the contribution of National Conference leadership, especially Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Abdullah, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah. “Mr Chugh should get his facts checked and he will know that the NC leadership tied the destiny of J&K with MahatmaGandhi’s secular India by rejecting the two-nation theory, worked in a mission mode for upholding the dignity of the people, remained in the forefront during horrendous days of the Partition holocaust and fought tirelessly elements inimical to peace. On the contrary, the BJP worked against the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, bruised the psyche of the people by snatching its special status and fragmented the state into two Union Territories,” Sadhotra said.
