Rusted grenade found in Mendhar

Poonch, Feb 28: A patrolling team of army on Wednesday found a rusted hand grenade from fields near Line of Control (LoC) in Balnoi area of Poonch's Mendhar sub division.

Officials told that a team of army was patrolling in Balnoi area of Mendhar near Line of Control when a rusted hand grenade was noticed there.

The grenade was immediately taken into possession by army team after which the bomb disposals squad was called in. The grenade, official sources said, was destroyed through a controlled mechanism.
