Russian troops advance into Ukraine city Pokrovsk

New Delhi, Nov 13: Thick fog has allowed Russian troops to advance further into the strategic eastern Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk, according to Ukraine’s 7th Airborne Assault Corps as reported by BBC.

Poor weather conditions have enabled Moscow to intensify its push to encircle Ukrainian forces in the devastated city, where fighting has continued for over a year. Ukraine’s military estimates that between 300 and 500 Russian soldiers are now inside Pokrovsk, as battles continue amid limited visibility that has hindered drone reconnaissance.

Verified footage from the BBC shows Russian troops driving through the fog-covered southern outskirts of the city on the Selidove–Pokrovsk highway. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s army chief reported that the situation on the southeastern Zaporizhzhia front has deteriorated, with the loss of three settlements, while Russian activity remains heaviest around Pokrovsk.
