RPO Srinagar to operate mobile passport van in Kargil

Kargil, Jul 16: The Passport Seva Project (PSP) under the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India in its endeavour to providing swift and transparent passport related services to citizens, the Ministry has introduced the Mobile Passport Van Services to ensure seamless passport facilities for applicants across various jurisdictions, including remote areas.

Under this initiative, the Regional Passport Office Srinagar will operate the Mobile Passport Van to serve applicants within its jurisdiction, said a press release.

Officials said that from Monday, July 21 to Friday July 25, the Mobile Passport Van will be stationed at National Information Centre, VC Hall New Building near Deputy Commissioners Office Kargil. Applicants in Kargil and nearby areas can avail Passport services by booking an appointment through the official website www.passportindia.gov.in. Applicants must select Passport Van as the service option and choose their preferred slot during the specified dates, it said.

Notably, on the day of the appointment, applicants should visit the designated location at the scheduled time and contact the Mobile Passport Van team Registration Number ‘PB65BF1377’ for further assistance.
