Robust security setup in Kupwara
Kupwara, Sep 30: As north Kashmir is set to go for polls on Tuesday, security arrangements have been significantly bolstered in Kupwara.
A senior Police officer said that robust security measures have been taken.
“We have set up checkpoints across the district and established strong coordination with the Army, CRPF, and other security agencies. We are ensuring a safe environment so that elections will be held in a cordial atmosphere and maximum turnout will be recorded in the district,” he said.
Meanwhile, substantial security arrangements have been taken in Police District Handwara also ahead of polls.
Police in Handwara in a message to the people, particularly the youth said that they should actively participate in the elections being held on Tuesday.
“Our youth, educated and forward-thinking, embody the spirit of democracy. We are committed to ensuring your safety and security throughout the voting process. Your participation is pivotal for the advancement of the country,” it said.
