Road safety programme organised in Baramulla to promote use of helmets
Sopore, Jan 19: In line with the ongoing 35th National Road Safety Month, the Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) in Baramulla organised a road safety awareness programme where helmets were distributed to two wheeler riders in Sopore town on Friday.
The main feature of the programme was to give new helmets to motorcyclists who were already wearing helmets and the old helmets from them were taken and given to those people who were riding without helmets.
The Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Muazzam Ali, emphasised the significance of different traffic rules and urged all stakeholders in society to acknowledge their responsibilities towards better traffic management and road safety.
ARTO Baramulla highlighted that while changing driving behavior may take time, education remains the key to achieving this transformation.
The ARTO Office Baramulla continues to play an active role in fostering a safer road environment, and such awareness programmes contribute significantly to creating a culture of responsible driving within the community.
