Road safety committee meeting held in Ramban

Ramban, Nov 22: Take all measures on National Highway and other link roads to contain road accidents and to save precious lives, District Magistrate Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary directed the officers of stakeholder departments, while chairing District Road Safety Committee meeting, here today.

Discussing different issues regarding road safety, the DM directed ARTO, Police and Traffic Police Department to involve all the stakeholders in the efforts being made to minimise the road accidents, and generate awareness about road safety among masses.

Among others, Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Rohit Baksotra, ADC, Harbans Sharma, Addl. SP Gourav Mahajan, ARTO Samrinder Singh, PD, NHAI, PIU, Ramban, Parshotam Kumar, Executive Engineers PW(R&B) Department Division Ramban and Banihal and other concerned officers attended the meeting, while SSP, Ramban attend the meeting in virtual mode. Asking stakeholder departments to conduct road safety audit ensure maintenance of roads, the DM directed them to execute projects as per Detailed Project Reports (DPR) ensuring quality of work.
