Road conditions along Zojila axis in Sonamarg assessed
Srinagar , Feb 3: Ravindra Pal Singh, SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir, conducted a thorough assessment of the road conditions along the Zojila axis of SSG road in the Sonamarg area on Saturday.
During his visit, he conducted briefing sessions with SHO Sonamarg and traffic personnel at TCP Sonamarg, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the situation.
The officer prioritised the well-being of deployed personnel, evaluating basic facilities and welfare measures.
Furthermore, Ravinder Pal Singh held similar briefing sessions with newly deployed traffic personnel at Gagangeer, emphasising adherence to prevailing traffic advisories during adverse climatic conditions and frosty roads.
He directed traffic officials at Sonamarg and Gagangeer to strictly enforce the laid-down advisory against any vehicular movement contrary to the specified guidelines towards Zojila. In addition to his operational duties, SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir actively participated in a traffic awareness programme organised by Traffic Rural Kashmir at Kangan.
This event was part of the National Road Safety Month observed from January 15 to February 14 and saw the engagement of at least 80 drivers and associated transporters.
