Road Checking Naka | Admin Secy Transport conducts surprise inspection at Raya Morh

Jammu, Mar 16:  Administrative Secretary Transport Neeraj Kumar Saturday conducted a surprise inspection at the road checking naka established by a team of RTO Jammu along the National Highway at Raya Morh.

The RTO team comprised ARTO Kuldeep Singh; Surinder Kumar MVI; Jasbir Singh MVI and Taranjot MVTA.

Officials said that during the inspection, the Administrative Secretary directed the continuation of such initiatives on a regular rotation basis.

They said that the team's diligent efforts culminated in the examination of approximately 230 vehicles, leading to the identification of 43 vehicles in breach of Motor Vehicles Act rules; resulting in an immediate imposition of Rs 2 lakh in fines.

“This concerted action underscores the department's proactive stance in upholding road safety and regulatory compliance for the welfare of all road users. The surprise inspection led by Administrative Secretary Transport Neeraj Kumar at the road checking naka established by Team RTO Jammu signifies a proactive endeavour to bolster road safety and regulatory adherence. Through meticulous document verification, vehicle inspections, and driver credential checks, the thorough evaluation reaffirmed the department's unwavering commitment to stringent enforcement and continual enhancement,” they said.

The officials said, “This proactive stance not only acts as a deterrent against violations but also nurtures stakeholder confidence in the effectiveness of regulatory frameworks and enforcement measures, fostering a culture of accountability and safety within the transportation realm.”
