Ramban, June 30: Due to the landslide and closure of Kishtwar Paddar road at Patharneki, the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Paddar, of Kishtwar issued a general advisory Sunday evening.

In an advisory issued by SDM, Paddar, Dr, Amit Kumar stated that due to a significant landslide of the size 70m, 15m, 40m along with rock slides at Patharnaki Singarh bridge point, OIC Dett. GREF, Gulabgarh has requested closure of vehicular and pedestrian movement along this route vide letter & 201/Gen/Dett/Gulabgarh/37/E2 dated 30.06.2024 till 3rd of July 2024 (1800 hrs).

Whereas, Tehsildar Nagseni vide advisory no. TN/N/2024-25/21-24 dt. 30.06.2024 has requested for restriction of vehicular and pedestrian movement on Kishtwar - Paddar Gulabgarh area route

In consideration of public safety at large and the restoration time required by GREF authorities at Singarh Bridge at Pathanaki Nagseni, it is hereby ordered that the Kishtwar - Paddar road will remain closed on 1st and 2nd July 2024 at Patharnaki Singarh Bridge point and further the vehicular movement will be restricted from Patharnaki to Gulabgarh area. Machail Mata and Chitoh Mata Yatris, travellers and commuters are strongly advised to avoid the Patharnaki- Gulabgarh area due to ongoing landslides on 1st July 2024 and 2nd July 2024.

Therefore, everyone is requested to plan their journeys accordingly and avoid travel to Paddar Gulabgarh from Kishtwar/Kellar on 1 July 2024 and 2nd July 2024 until further notice, the advisory issued by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Paddar, Dr Amit Kumar reads.
