RK Sarovar Portico rebrands as Golden Tulip Srinagar
Srinagar, Aug 30: In a landmark transformation that signals a new chapter for luxury hospitality in Kashmir, RK Sarovar Portico has officially rebranded as Golden Tulip Srinagar.
A statement said that this significant rebranding places the hotel among the world-renowned Golden Tulip chain, which began in the 1960s in the Netherlands and has since expanded to over 170 upscale hotels in 41 countries. Known for combining local culture with global standards, Golden Tulip hotels are celebrated for providing a unique and playful approach to luxury, work, and travel.
This rebranding not only enhances the hotel’s status in the region but also introduces Srinagar to the global pedigree of the Golden Tulip brand, a name synonymous with elegance, quality, and innovation. The transformation from RK Sarovar Portico to Golden Tulip Srinagar is the latest chapter in the hotel’s storied history. Established in 2012 as City Forest, By Royal Khazir Hotels and Resorts, Srinagar’s first business and Leisure hotel, it quickly gained prominence in the region. The 2014 rebranding to RK Sarovar Portico marked a period of growth and recognition.

The rebranding ceremony marked by an Izband ceremony led by Dr Rashmi Singh (IAS), Commissioner-Secretary, Hospitality and Protocol, Principal Resident Commissioner J&K, Jatin Khanna, CEO, along with other dignitaries from media, all travel and tourism associations.
