Reveal promises you kept after Article 370 abrogation: Omar Abdullah to BJP

Rajouri, Sep 21: National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah today asked BJP to reveal the promises it kept after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 -A.

He was addressing an election rally organised by National Conference at Nowshera in Rajouri district.

"Tall promises were made at the time of Abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A in Jammu and Kashmi. It was being alleged that development, employment and everything in J&K was stalled due to Article 370 and 35 A. BJP had projected these article as stumbling block in establishing factories and industries,” Omar said.

He added that five years have passed since abrogation of Article 370 and this is the time when people should ask BJP about the those promises. Former Chief Minister further said, "Where are factories, where is promised development. Have any employment avenues been generated"

Referring to slogans of double engine government of BJP, Omar Abdullah asked the BJP to tell the people which changes this double engine government has made

"There is double engine government in Jammu and Kashmir for last one decade but what are the changes," he said adding, " This double engine government has failed."

Omar Abdullah also took a dig at BJP for rise in terror activities across Jammu province and said that terror incidents on daily basis are cause of concern and fully fuse the claim of end of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
