Srinagar, Dec 17: In response to the persistent demand from the Travel and Tourism (T&T) fraternity, the J&K Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC) has introduced new provisions aimed at improving the Gulmarg Gondola experience for both domestic and foreign tourists.

Starting December 18, JKCCC will begin revamped online Tatkal Ticket Facility for the Gulmarg Gondola, available on the official website www.jammukashmircablecar.com.

Online Tatkal tickets will be made available for booking every day at 5:00 PM for the following day, with tickets issued strictly against Tatkal charges. This initiative is part of an effort to streamline the booking process and meet the high demand for Gondola tickets.

Additionally, entry at the main gate of the Gulmarg Gondola Project will be strictly regulated. Tourists will be required to present a valid ID proof, which must match the details on their ticket. This measure is being implemented to ensure a smooth and secure experience for all visitors.

To cater to the demand of foreign tourists, the JKCCC has introduced a booking system based on feasibility. Travel and trade agencies have been requested to email the details of visiting foreign tourists, including full names and passport numbers, at least two days before the intended visit. The details could be sent to the official email address: cablecar@rediffmail.com, along with a forwarding or covering letter from the Travel Agency.

This facilitation has been put in place to ensure the implementation of the present government's commitment to serve the incoming tourists in a better way and to curb black marketing and malpractices in ticketing for the prestigious destination.
