Return power projects to J&K: Sajjad Shaheen

Jammu, Mar 20: National Conference MLA from Banihal Sajjad Shaheen today demanded return of transfer of hydroelectric power projects back to J&K and called for an increased share of the J&K in the profits generated from these projects.

He was speaking in legislative assembly during the discussion on the Demands for Grants, moved by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on March 18.

Saheen also highlighted several key issues and concerns that require urgent attention.

He also favoured boosting of tourism in Chenab Valley . “I underscored the immense untapped tourism potential in offbeat destinations, particularly in the Banihal-Gool constituency, and urge the government to formulate a comprehensive plan for its promotion and development, “Shaheen said.
