Unexplained illness: Restrictions on community feasts in Rajouri

Rajouri, Jan 20: Authorities have imposed restrictions on hosting a community feast; serving food to people or holding congregations in Badhaal village of Rajouri, following 17 deaths of mysterious nature there during the last one and a half month.

The restrictions have been imposed by the civil administration.

Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Kotranka has also issued a formal order in this connection.

“We have imposed restrictions on holding a community feast in this area, keeping in view the present situation,” ADM Kotranka Dil Mir said.

He added, “The decision has been taken on precautionary grounds and will remain enforced till the outcome of ongoing investigation into mysterious deaths of this village.”
