Restore darbar move in interest of both divisions: Tarigami
Kulgam, Oct 24: CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami today urged the government to restore the darbar move in the interest of both divisions
According to a press release, he was addressing a rally in Kulgam. Tarigami stated that the restoration of the traditional Darbar Move should be prioritised in the larger interest of both divisions—Jammu as well as Kashmir.
He also pointed out that Jammu and Kashmir is the only Union Territory in India being run by two governments, referring to a recent security review meeting that was held in the presence of the Lieutenant Governor, without an elected Chief Minister.
The CPI(M) leader said that he would strongly advocate for the restoration of the Darbar Move in the Assembly, as it benefits both divisions of J&K. He expressed his commitment to drawing the government's attention to this matter in the Assembly.
During his speech, he also appealed to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, urging him to address the unjustified verification process, which is causing problems for the youth. He said that while law enforcement should take its course against the wrongdoings of individuals, others should not face undue hurdles because of their relatives.
