Resolution on Article 370 has no legal sanctity: BJP
Srinagar, Nov 8: BJP National General Secretary and In-charge for Jammu-Kashmir, and Ladakh, TarunChugh today stated that the J&K assembly’s resolution on Article 370 is blatantly illegal and unconstitutional, intended to incite separatist and violent elements within the Union Territory.
In a statement, Chugh criticised Omar Abdullah and Congress’s coalition government for reigniting anti-national controversies, saying that “its agenda seems focused on reviving terrorism and disrupting the development initiatives undertaken by the Modi government.”
This is nothing but a cheap political gimmick by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. It clearly shows that he has no agenda for the development of J&K and instead seeks to foster an atmosphere of terror and violence,” the BJP leader said.
Demanding the immediate withdrawal of the resolution, he said that the BJP will not tolerate any anti-national or unconstitutional agendas being advanced in the Assembly by the Omar Abdullah government. “We will fight tooth and nail to defeat such nefarious designs of the Abdullah family,” he added.
