“Since we belong to an underprivileged class that is why the concerned department is less bothered about the hardships we are going through due to pathetic road condition. Even passenger cabs are reluctant to ply on our road. We have to deboard from vehicles one kilometer behind and then cover the remaining distance up to our village on foot,” a local youth told Greater Kashmir.

The residents said that they have brought this issue into the notice of concerned officials numerous times but to no avail. The residents have now sought immediate intervention of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Ayushi Sudan in this regard so that they can see their road macadamised.
