Residents of Chowkibal area oppose electricity tariff hike

The residents of Marcery in Chowkibal area are up in arms against a hike in monthly power tariff.

“We are poor people and can't afford to pay extra fees. The concerned authorities have doubled our electricity tariff which is impossible for us to pay," said a local.

“People in Marcery hardly manage their living with meagre monthly income. The abrupt increase in power tariff is an injustice to us,” said another local.

The residents have appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take a call on this so that their genuine grievance is redressed.
